Curious about bees and how honey is made? This relaxed, hands-on-suits-on beekeeping taster session offers a fun filled informative introduction to the world of honey bees.

During the session you’ll be suiting up from the get go to learn how a colony functions, how bees communicate and organise themselves, and the basics of looking after a hive through the seasons. We’ll explore the equipment beekeepers use, and open a hive to observe the bees up close as they work. You’ll also discover how honey, wax, and pollen are produced, and why bees play such an important role in our ecosystems and food systems.

Whether you’re thinking about keeping bees yourself, looking for a unique experience to try, or searching for an unusual and thoughtful gift for someone who loves nature, this session offers an engaging and memorable introduction to beekeeping. No prior experience is needed.
